Meet Sabrina Perez | Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach
February 11, 2025

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business intentions are to seek out mothers and young women who are committed to themselves and their potential. Through resistance training, nutrition counseling, and companionship I believe I can grow a larger community of empowered women that will fight for themselves and find that discipline is powerful and sexy. RBG said it best, “Not fragile like a flower, fragile like a bomb.”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My aim is to reach all women and mothers who have been faced with adversities and not have been able to put themselves first until now.
I am not someone who was able to go to college and get some fancy degree in exercise. I’m not that person who played rugby or lacrosse “since I was able to walk.” As a mom, wife, and entrepreneur I most definitely do not have the same hours a day as the next person. The fitness community is riddled with people who have had the time and mental space to do all these amazing things with their time, but its leaving out a crucial demographic. Moms, and young ladies of the real soul crushing world. The girls who were forced to grow up before the age of ten, the moms who lost her kids, the women who lost/ended their marriage, or fighting addiction. Those are the same women society picks at when it comes to keeping themselves together. These women don’t give a damn that Coach Sally got her tennis trophy before the age of 15, They want to know that Sabrina, who has seen Satan himself, is going to hold it down for them in the gym and she’s going to show them just how RESILIANT they are and that they won’t ever have to back down when the pressure is on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I couldn’t of found myself in this position at all if it weren’t for my husband. I know it sounds so cliche, but he really helped me find out who I was and was the first person to tell me that I was ok and that I could take all the time I needed to find myself again after childbirth. In fact, he showed me that I have options and that I could try different things if I wanted. Choices? I didn’t know that I could pick something to focus on and change my mind if I didn’t like it. I didn’t have to force anything I didn’t want. Such a simple thought, but not knowing this held me back from a lot of things in life.
My children, 2y, 5y, 8y, 13y, are my BIGGEST motivators in my life. Because of them, I strive to be the best possible version of myself every single day. Being that I had a traumatic and abusive household growing up, I want to show them and young women who haven’t ever had the chance to even think about themselves, have all the space and room and to grow and learn their own voices. Personal training isn’t just physical change, it’s also a mental fortitude metamorphosis.
Many people have role models that have made positive changes, but in my case I had pieces of crap to help show me all the things I never want to be. My own mother was a big “role model” for me. Her brothers, my uncles, woman beaters and drug addicts, were all crap and are either jailed, dead, or dying. My grandma on my mothers side was more like a boss as we were always working on the yard or doing some sort of hard chore. My grandfather, a veteran and child molester, had his “hobbies” and was always preying on myself and other younger female family members. His actions were brought to light but he was never jailed or convicted and the victims like myself were blamed and had to live with it and get over it. He lived till 2011.
Because my own mother, grandmother and other family members who knew these things happening never did anything to stop or protect me, I VOW my entire existence to show women and mothers that there is light, there is an end to the mental torment. I want to show them that ITS OK to think about yourself, to love yourself, and to reinvent yourself after being in darkness for so long. Let me show you how in the best way possible that will redefine your outlook on life and yourself.
